Level 2 Cache Failure
Explanation: Some BIOS’s perform tests on the level 2 or secondary cache to ensure that it is functioning correctly. If the level 2 cache in the system is indicating a failure, and depending on the system, the boot may halt at this point or may automatically disable the cache and continue with the boot. The exact message you receive should give you an idea about this. With most later system builds, the cache is no longer on the motherboard, so tread carefully in examining your system.
Diagnosis: There is either a problem with the secondary cache itself, or with the motherboard.
