Turning Off (or On) The Windows Animation

You can shut off the animation displayed when you minimize and maximize Windows. 1. Open RegEdit 2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control panel \Desktop\WindowMetrics 3. Create a new string value “MinAnimate”. 4. Set the value data of (zero) 0 for Off

5. Or (one) 1 for On
