Adding Customized OEM Information to the System Properties Window

Whether you are a small mom and pop style operation or a large OEM building computers, you may want to add your “brand” to the computers you build and include any support contact information. This is easy to accomplish, just follow along.

1. Open Notepad 

2. Create the following information in Notepad.

[general] Manufacturer=Your Manufacturer (your business name) Model=Your System Model (How you describe the specific system you build) [Support Information] Line1=Insert here, line by line, how you wish your customer to contact you for support. Line2=Add additional info lines here and if you want more, just create Line4, Line5, and so on.

3. Now save this file as oeminfo.ini and place it in the \Windows\System folder.

Now, for a logo, just create a bitmap size 180×120 of the logo for your business and save it as oemlogo.bmp in your \Windows\System folder.
