Warranty information presented throughout this web site may, from time to time, contain inconsistencies, inaccuracies and typographical errors as we are, after all, human beings and electronic components and their warranties do change on a regular basis. You should always refer to your written warranty for specific warranty information applicable to you.
Further, you the consumer should be aware of the following information:
-
None of the information contained in this web site shall be considered an extension, change or modification of any written warranty.
-
Any warranty that we provide to you, the consumer, will be in writing and will in no manner be extended or otherwise altered by any information provided on this website.
-
The warranties that we issue are strictly reliant upon the warranty or warranties provided by the original manufacturer of the component or components that we install in your computer.
-
While most manufacturers of the components we use warrant their components for a minimum of one (1) year, some warranties are shorter. In those cases where the warranty provided by the component manufacturer is less than one (1) year, DEW Associates Corporation and their affiliates will, from time to time, extend said warranty to a full year, however you should be aware that we are under no obligation to do so.
-
Any warranty extensions will be made in writing and “only in writing”. If you do not have a written warranty extension, then the warranty is the length or term offered by the respective original component manufacturer.
-
We will, in most cases, endeavor to extend original manufacturer warranties where ever possible, however you, the consumer, should be aware that we are not under any obligation to do so.
-
All loose components, including, but not limited to, video cards, modems, sound cards, drives and all other peripherals are inspected, checked and tested before shipment to insure that they function within manufacturers specifications. We will not be responsible for the repair or replacement of any component that is incorrectly or improperly installed by you, the consumer. If you purchase a peripheral component with the intent of installing it yourself, you and only you are responsible for its proper installation. You have a responsibility to insure that you are entirely familiar with the safeguards and procedures necessary to install electronic components.
-
You, the consumer, should be aware of the fact that should any component be returned to us under warranty, it will be examined and tested to determine the cause of the failure. If we determine that the component failed as the result of user mishandling, mistake, error or any of the other reasons as noted below, the component will be returned to you at your cost and without warranty adjustment.
-
Should you choose to return, under warranty, any computer component or peripheral, it must be done with a written “Return Material Authorization” (RMA) received from us. We do not accept any responsibility for any returns made to us that do not include this required documentation.
-
You, the consumer, should be aware that we make no warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose other than that which is included in the written documentation provided to you.
